Sprinkles

Meet Sprinkles. Sprinkles is my cupcake. I have been baking so many for others that well the aroma got to me and I just had to have one!! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE making these little guys for others. I live to do it But today I needed one for myself. So I pulled out the "Fancy" cupcake liners. I needed something fun with jumbo sprinkles, polka dots and a flower on top....

All that's Gold does Glitter !!!

Today was my sister-in-law, Martha's, 50th Birthday. She is a fun, fun lady and sure doesn't look a day past 39!!! I baked her chocolate cupcakes with white chocolate almond frosting. I drove these to her house with one hand, holding the box of cupcakes with the other hand like a waitress to ensure that none of these golden beauties would flip over !! Good thing we only live 2 miles apart - LOL !! Happy Birthday Martha !!

Take me out to the ballpark.....

These cupcakes were a homerun for Blake's end of season baseball party !

Care for a slice of watermelon?

No seed spitting contest here. You will want to enjoy every bite !!! Made these for Gary's family reunion. They were a big hit !

Strawberries Anyone?

School is out and we are trying new and different things. Its good, clean fun (and oh yeah, educational also but don't tell them !!!) We went to pick strawberries before the season "ran out"

Blake and Rachel were having so much fun they wanted to come and pick strawberries everyday !

Of course, when we got home, we had to make cupcakes ! Can you say "farm fresh?"

Giant Cupcake

It is good to try new things. That's why I got this giant cupcake pan.

I may have overfilled it !!
It did lean during the assembling stage. Then soon after the bottom part cracked. That is why you test these things out !! I need to do this cupcake again, but not overfill the pan next time. It was still fun eating it though ! Yum, yum. I will post it again when I bake it again !

Girl Scout Cupcakes

Saturday Rachel's Girl Scout Troop bridged to "jazzy, jazzy" Juniors. Of course that called for cupcakes !! I think the "picture" cupcakes were a hit and every Scout knew exactly which cupcake was hers !! I made some minis to fill in the gaps on the cupcake stand !

Flowers for Mother's Day

No watering needed. Enjoy !

Because you asked...

S'more Cupcake Recipe.

Any dark chocolate cake mix. Place graham cracker crumbs moistened with a little butter in cupcake liner. Bake cupcakes according to package and cool.

The icing is Marshallow creme, yummy.

The original recipe said 16 oz. of marshallow creme which was way, way too much and 2 sticks of butter (softened), 2 cups confect. sugar and 1/2 tsp of vanilla. Blend by hand in bowl. You can 1/2 these amounts if you want or make the whole batch and just eat the left overs !!

Any hoo, Dump it in a ziplock bag and snip a hole and frost. Its a little runny - but s'mores are that way !! I did put it in the frig after a while and that did help "firm it up". Top with graham cracker crumbs and hersheys and enjoy !!

Butterflies are free to fly....

Aren't they beautiful?? Though Blake wasn't too thrilled when the butterflies were blocking his milk in the fridge. It went something like this.... "Why are there butterflies blocking my milk?" You don't hear that every day - too funny !!

I am going to take these to Bible Study tomorrow night. I think they may be appreciated more there!

Cure for the Swine Flu

Oink, oink. Boy these guys took a looooong time to make !! But aren't they cute?? Eat one of these sugar delights and you won't care if you have the swine flu or not. They look flesh color but they are really light pink and just adorable. I think next time, I might use mini marshallows for the nose just to switch it up. I also love how each one has a different personality with their eyes and noses - too funny ! No assembly line here - everyone was made by hand.

S'more Cupcakes

Let's just say yummy!! I have made these twice now with rave reviews. The second batch I made with a darker, richer chocolate cake batter which made these just "s'more" sinful !! Yummy again.

Splash Bash Cupcakes

Rachel's cupcakes for her 9th birthday. These were not as hard to make as I thought that they would be. Aloha !

Cotton Candy Cupcakes

These turned out really pretty BUT only the cotton candy only lasts for about 30 minutes. So these now fall under the dessert catergory of "serve immediately"

Far Out Cupcakes !

My first photographed cupcakes. Tye-dyed cupcakes. These were for Rachel's class pizza party. They were a big hit. No icing required. Teachers love that - no mess, no fuss.
